Year-end accounts, tax and a working world without borders

Preparing for the year-end – pensions, tax, year-end accounts and Global Mobility

Register

A new year brings new conditions for pensions, tax and accounting. At the same time, working life is becoming increasingly international, with employees working from other countries temporarily or regularly, and new issues for employers to manage.

In this webinar, we bring together some of the key areas to keep track of ahead of the year-end accounts and 2027 – from pension costs, tax issues and new accounting rules to Global Mobility and cross-border working.

We have once again invited pensions and tax expert Sten Levin who will review current changes in pensions, tax and accounting. Topics include pension costs in tax calculations and year-end accounts, current thresholds and rule changes ahead of 2027, and what IFRS 18 means for the companies affected.

We are also joined by Agnes Fröjd Almefjord, Tax Advisor at Aspia, who will then guide us through Global Mobility and the issues that arise when employees work from other countries. What does an employer need to check before agreeing to a workation or a more permanent arrangement? And when does a seemingly straightforward HR issue become something that requires specialist expertise?

Together, Agnes and Sten will also discuss what working abroad can mean for occupational pensions, insurance and tax, as well as issues that may arise when an employee has a pension from another country.

FörsäkringsGirot will also share practical tips and checks that can be useful ahead of the year-end accounts and the turn of the year.

What you will take away from the webinar:

  • which pension-related tax and accounting issues employers should keep track of ahead of the year-end accounts and 2027
  • key considerations for pension costs in tax calculations and year-end accounts
  • what IFRS 18 means in practice and which companies are affected
  • what employers need to check before an employee works from another country
  • the difference between a workation, regularly working in several countries and an overseas assignment
  • what working abroad can mean for tax, occupational pensions and insurance
  • what employers need to consider when an employee has a pension from another country
  • common mistakes employers make with cross-border working
  • how to develop an effective policy for working from abroad
  • when HR and payroll can handle an issue themselves – and when specialist expertise should be brought in.

This webinar is aimed at those working in  HR, payroll, pensions, benefits, finance or accounting and is free of charge as usual!

This is a live webinar and will be recorded as usual. The recording will be sent to everyone who registers afterwards.

Please register whether you can watch live or would like to receive the recording afterwards.

See you online on 2 December!
